Returns & Warranty

Plain-English summary first, full terms below. If anything here is unclear, contact us before you order — we'd rather answer a question up front than deal with a dispute after.

The short version

  • Arrived faulty, damaged, or broken? Full refund or replacement, and we cover return postage.
  • Changed your mind? You can return it within 30 days only if it's still sealed and completely unopened — once it's been applied to a phone we can't resell or reuse it, so opened/installed units can't be returned for a change of mind.
  • Glass that cracks, chips, or breaks after installation from a drop or knock isn't a fault — that's the tempered glass doing exactly what it's built to do: absorb the impact so your phone screen doesn't. It isn't covered by warranty or eligible for return.

1. Faulty or damaged on arrival

If your Bluetect screen protector arrives with a manufacturing defect — for example the glass is chipped, cracked, or delaminating straight out of the box, or the wrong item was sent — you're entitled to your choice of a free replacement or a full refund, and we'll cover the cost of return shipping. Contact us with your order number and a photo of the issue and we'll sort it out.

2. Change-of-mind returns (30 days)

Because a screen protector is applied directly to your phone and can't be removed and resold once installed, we can only accept a change-of-mind return if the unit is still in its original, unopened, unused packaging — never applied to a device. You have 30 days from delivery to send it back in that condition for a refund of the item price. Return postage for a change-of-mind return is paid by the customer. Once we've received and checked the item, we'll process your refund to the original payment method.

3. What isn't covered

Tempered glass is a sacrificial layer — it's designed to crack or shatter on impact so that the phone screen underneath doesn't. Cracking, chipping, scratching, or shattering that happens after installation, from a drop, knock, or pressure, means the product worked as intended. It is not a defect, and it is not covered by this warranty or eligible for return or replacement. Misuse, improper installation, or damage from unauthorised removal attempts is also not covered.

4. How to make a claim

Email [support email — set this in admin Settings] with your order number and, for a faulty item, a photo showing the issue. We aim to respond within 2 business days.

5. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy limits or replaces your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

The benefits given to you above are in addition to other rights and remedies you have under a law in relation to the goods this warranty relates to.

This page is general information for Bluetect customers and is not legal advice. It was drafted with reference to Australian law and should be reviewed by a qualified professional before relying on it for a live store.
